Travel Theme as always from Ailsa at Where’s My Backpack?
First the GOOD kind of circles!
Now the SAD kind of circles…
Over 96 percent of America’s old-growth forests are gone, decimated to feed the industrial megamachine. The magnificent forests we see are mere fragments, and not anywhere close to sufficient to sustain biodiversity. Industrial civilization needs to be stopped before it wipes out what little relative global biodiversity remains.

I was wondering what you meant by bad circles. I do hate the clear cutting, although a fire can wipe it out just as thoroughly too. At least with a fire though, it grows back the way it should.

I hate all logging at this point, not just clear cutting. And yes, fires are a necessary part of forest ecology–many trees have evolved so that their seeds don’t even germinate without fire!
